Tommy Edwin Griffin, 71, of Eldorado passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Gordon Poole officiating. Mr. Griffin will be laid to rest at a later date.
Born February 3, 1945 in Baxley, Mr. Griffin was the son of the late Alvin Griffin and Maybelle Paige Griffin. He was also preceded in death by two brothers. He was a retired welder.
Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife, Reba Williford Griffin of Eldorado; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Robert Griffin and James “Taye” and Ivey Griffin, all of Tifton, Tommy “Buddy” Jr. and Missy Griffin of Lenox and Randy and Diane Griffin of Eldorado; three daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa “Knocker” and Jerry Horton, Tina and James Cox and Kim and Jodi Griffin, all of Tifton; four brothers, Linton Griffin and Ray Griffin, both of Ty Ty, Larry Griffin of Sylvester and Dennis Griffin of Shingler; three sisters, Rebecca Eunice of Acree, Martha Sue Hughes of Jesup and Linda Faye Matthews of Poulan; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
