Jenny Viera
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, June 22, 2016, Mrs. Jenny Ruth Viera, 43, loving wife of 21 years to Mr. Raul Viera.
Jenny had a heart of gold and was a loving and devoted wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She graduated from Richmond Academy in 1991 where she was a member of the band and JROTC and continued to actively participate in various alumni groups. As a nursing assistant, Jenny oversaw multiple clinics at St. Vincent de Paul and served as a medical care liaison for prisoners preparing to reenter society. In her spare time, Jenny enjoyed crocheting, making jewelry, and volunteering with the youth bowling league at Brunswick Lanes.
Family members including her husband and children: Raul King Viera, Juanita Ruth Viera, and Julianna Marie Viera; parents: Janet L. Houston (James) and Larry Hammond (Maureen); siblings: Colin King Hammond (Shannon), Meredith Culver (Noland) and Olivia R. Houston and a host of nieces and nephews and other loving family members. She is preceded in death by maternal grandparents: Robert and Barbara Lateer and paternal grandparents: Carl and Althea Hammond.
A funeral service will be Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor David Crowe officiating.
