Civita "Tina" (Colozzo) DiChiappari of Somerville died on Monday, June 20, at the Winchester Nursing Center. Born and raised in Gaeta, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Anna (Chinappi) Colozzo. Tina came to the U.S. in the 1950's, settling first in Cambridge, then moving to Somerville in 1961.
Tina was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore DiChiappari, and the devoted mother of Cosmo DiChiappari and his wife Martha of Medford, and Frank DiChiappari and his wife Anna of Andover. She was the loving grandmother of Sal, Maria, Stephen and Cara, and the cherished sister of Maria Viola of Waltham, Antonio and Cosmo Colozzo of Gaeta, Italy, and the late Damiano Colozzo.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, June 27 at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9 - 10:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
