Paul Barsanti died peacefully at the Wellington Regional Medical Center in Florida. He was 88.
The son of the late Alessandro and Clorinda (Papera) Barsanti, He was born in Argentina and lived most of his early life in Corsagna, Italy. He came to the United States in 1950 and settled in Somerville, where he and his wife Josephine raised their family. A devoted family man, worked hard to provide a good life for his family. He worked many years as a waiter at the famous Boston restaurant, Lock Ober. He also enjoyed a long administrative career at the Somerville Court House. He loved time with his family, especially at their summer home at Sanbornton, NH where he spent endless hours with his grandchildren. In recent years, He and his wife Josephine enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida.
The beloved husband of Josephine (Giovannini) Barsanti, he was a devoted father to Sandra Risbey and her husband Rick of Aurora, Canada and Franca Richard and her husband Jack of Winchester. He was a loving grandfather to Paul, Alexandra and Cristina as well as a dear uncle of Joe and Rose Giovanni.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday, June 27th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Mary Church, 155 Washington Street, Winchester, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Sunday 4 – 8 PM.
