Helen L. (Whitcomb) Mullett,94, of 74 Lake Ave., died Friday,
July 15 at St. Mary's Healthcare in Worcester.
She was the wife of Raymond S. Mullett who died in 1967. She leaves a sister
Florence Potter of Londonderry, Vt. and a daughter in law Carolyn D. Mullett
of Weston, Vt., 5 grand and 3 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She
is predeceased by sons Donald I. in 1989 and Russell A. Mullett in 1994.
Mrs. Mullett was secretary and clerk to the Superintendent of Leicester
Schools for many years before retiring in 1982. She was a member of the
Leicester Federated Church since 1936 and interim organist for many years as
well as sang in its choir. She was organist for the Congregational Church of
Spencer for 30 years and was also the founder and director of the
"Melo-dears" singing group based in Leicester for many years.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Arthur C. and Louise D. (Fisher)
Whitcomb and lived here most of her life.
At her request, no funeral services are planned. Following cremation burial
of her ashes will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
