Obituary

Marlboro, MA
Carl F. Connor, 67, of Marlboro, died unexpectedly at his residence in Marlboro on Sunday, June 19th.

Carl was born and raised in Marlboro, son of the late Paul H. Connor Sr. and Margurite E. (Kennedy) Connor. He attended local schools and was a 1966 graduate of Marlboro High School. Following high school he received his Bachelor’s Degree from American International College of Springfield, MA. Carl excelled in sports in both high school and college as a member of the football and baseball teams. He spent many years as a sporting goods salesman locally and also as a representative selling ceiling fans throughout the northeast. He was a member of several local fraternities including the Hudson Lodge of Elks and Marlboro Eagles.

Carl had many interests throughout his life but truly enjoyed his younger years spending time with family and friends. He especially looked forward to all those wonderful times on Cape Cod with his former wife Maureen and their many friends. He cherished his time associated with the Marlboro Shamrocks as a player and former Owner/General Manager of the team. He was always very giving of his time, especially being involved with youth sports in the mid 70’s to early 1980’s as the coach of the Marlboro Jr. Shamrocks. His enduring memory of a “kind but gentle giant” will be forever cherished by those who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his brother, Paul H. Connor Jr. and his wife Elaine of Hudson; his sister, Peggy Truex of Plymouth; his many nieces and nephews along with his former wife and friend Maureen (Bourque) Connor of Hudson. He was the brother of the late Robert Connor and Grace Ponti.
