Randy Levi Gay, 31, of Lakeland, Florida passed away Monday, June 20, 2016, in Lakeland. A visitation will be held Friday, June 24, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland, Florida with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Gay at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Omega Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. Rev. Todd Garner will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 26, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born December 24, 1984 in Lakeland, Florida, Randy was the son of Jimmy Mac Gay of Omega and Sharon Kay Cole of Lakeland, Florida. He was preceded in death by grandparents, R. L. and Ruby Gay. He was a lifelong resident of the Lakeland, Florida area. He worked as a selector for Publix Supermarket. He enjoyed MMA fighting and was actively involved in the sport. He also loved all sports and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Randy is survived by his wife, Ashley Fay Gay of Lakeland, Florida; his twin sister, Brandy Leigh Gay-Schulz of Lakeland, Florida; his sister, Amy Lynn Gay of Omega; his step-son, Halen Gage Keen of Lakeland, Florida; his nephew, Zachary Hunter Schulz of Lakeland, Florida; his grandmother, Marilee McCall Meeks; and many other loving family members.
