NATICK: Clare Elaine (Bremner) Ludwig Wright, a longtime Florida resident, passed away on June 17, 2016, at the age of 99.
Born in Boston, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Walters) Bremner. Clare was a graduate of the Natick Schools and continued her education at Barry University in Miami, earning both Baccalaureate and Master’s Degrees in Education.
Clare was married to Robert M. Ludwig in 1946, and the couple shortly thereafter made their home in North Miami Beach where they raised their son. Eleven years after Robert’s death in 1975, Clare married Mark Wright with whom she shared 21 years of marriage. He passed away in 2007. Clare had been a teacher with the Dade County Public Schools at Highland Oaks Elementary School for 30 years.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Robert P. Ludwig and his wife Shelley of Pembroke Pines, Florida, and many nieces and nephews. Clare was the last of seven siblings, having been predeceased by brothers Karl, Harold, Bill, and Paul Bremner, and sisters Margaret Connolly and Barbara Burke.
Her funeral will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Friday, June 24th at 12:30PM. Relatives and friends may visit with the family beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will be in Dell Park Cemetery.
