Raymond Elvis “Ray” Bowen, 79, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Born in Upton, KY, he was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for ICI America and a member of Beechland Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Carolyn Marie (Colee) Bowen; daughter, Deborah Lynn Bowen; and son, Steven Ray Bowen; sisters, Helen Watson and Doris Crews (Earl); brother, Clyde Bowen (Bonnie); four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be Friday 11 a.m. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with burial at Highland Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers expressions may be made to the Family Life Center at his church or the Kentucky Humane Society.
