Collette Wooldridge, of Tewksbury formerly of Somerville passed away unexpectedly, Monday, June 20, 2016, at the Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. She was 79 years of age. Collette was the beloved wife of the late John E. "Jack" Wooldridge. Born in Somerville she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Johanna (Manakas) Angelis.
Collette was raised and educated in Somerville and was a member of the Somerville High School graduating class of 1955. She worked for over 27 years as a Manager with the IRS Receipt and Control Division prior to her retirement in 2000. Collette's family was her main focus in life. She cherished spending time with her daughter and especially loved being with her grandchildren whom she adored. In her leisure time she liked to attend bingo and taking senior day trips with her friends. She also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casinos and loved going shopping.
Collette is lovingly survived by her devoted daughter, Cheryl Silva and her husband Ralph of Tewksbury. She was the loving grandmother of Courtney L. Silva, Jon - Anthony M. Silva, and Gregory J. Silva, all of Tewksbury. Cherished sister of James Angelis of York, ME. Sister-in-law of Doris Angelis of Somerville and is also survived by several cherished in-laws, many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her late husband, Collette is sadly predeceased by her son, John A. Wooldridge, and brother, George Angelis.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON, Friday, June 24th, at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
