In Taunton, Karen L. (Bevis) Witkus, Age 69, passed away peacefully in her home. Karen was born in Somerville, MA, the daughter of the late Walter & Eleanor (Phillips) Bevis. Karen had resided in Taunton for the past forty years and was formerly of Burlington, Ma. She attended schools in Burlington and went on to earn her associates degree. She enjoyed her dogs, feeding her ducks, traveling and above all cherished her time with family and friends. Karen leaves her loving children Melissa Witkus of Taunton, Charles M. Witkus and his wife Andreia of Pocasset and Christopher Witkus and his wife Meagan of Weaverville, N.C. She also leaves her grandchildren Cassidy Witkus-Gagnon of Taunton, Ryan Witkus of Pocasset and Rylie Mackinnon of Weaverville, N.C. and her nephew David Bell. Karen also leaves her brother and two sisters, and several nieces and nephews. Karen also leaves her former husband and friend Charles E. Witkus of FL. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday, June 24th from 6-8 pm. with a service being held at 7 pm. in the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780.
