NATICK: Gregorio Sebastian Giallonardo, age 57, a lifetime resident of Natick, died peacefully at the Parmenter Hospice House in Wayland on June 19, 2016. He was the beloved son of Alice (Tavernelli) and the late Orlando Giallonardo. Gregorio was the brother of Lisa Giallonardo and her husband Jeffrey Prince of Natick, and cherished uncle of Jason G. Prince and his wife Danielle of Ashland and Jared G. Prince and his fiancée Kaitlin Baranowski of Boston. He was also the proud great uncle of Serena Nicole Prince of Ashland.
Gregorio was born on November 16, 1958 in Brockton, MA. He was raised in Natick and graduated from Natick High School in 1977, where he was a prize-winning member of the Natick High School Competitive Speech Team. He studied floral design at the Henry Simmons School of Floral Design in Wellesley, and he held a number of positions related to floral design and in later years started his own design business, Gregg’s Creations. He also worked at the Maridor Restaurant in Framingham for a number of years.
A devout Catholic, Gregorio was a long-time usher and member of St. Patrick’s Church in Natick. He was a past member of the Sons of Italy in Natick and very proud of his Italian heritage. Gregorio was a devoted animal lover and was predeceased by his beloved yellow Labrador Retriever, Isabella Maria. Gregorio will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Special love and gratitude is extended to the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center in Framingham, where he was a patient for the last 13 years. Gregorio’s family is also grateful to the staff at the Parmenter Hospice House for making his last days comfortable.
Visiting hours for family and friends are on Thursday, June 23rd at the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street (at Natick Common), Natick from 5:00-8:00 pm with a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 24th at 11:00 am at nearby Saint Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, 25 Glenwood St, Natick.
