Mrs. Mary T. (Carreaux) Bourget, of Raynham, died Sunday, June 19 in Morton Hospital following a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard E. Bourget. She was born 87 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late John and Mildred (Smythe) Carreaux. She was educated in Taunton and had attended the former Bristol County Business School. Mary had been a Raynham resident for the past 57 years. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed in Housekeeping at Bridgewater State College for 20 years. She was previously employed at the former Paul A. Dever State School and at Taunton State Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint and cross stitch, animals, reading, and spending time with her family. She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Parish in Raynham.
She leaves: 3 sons: Wilfred Bourget and his companion, Donna Corcoran of Stoughton, John Bourget and his wife, Dawn of Middleboro, and Mark Champagne of Raynham; 4 daughters: Theresa Rondelli of Travers City, Mich., Marie Perry of Taunton, Donna Joyce and her husband, Phil of Cornwell, Vt., and Joan Baily of San Jose, Calif., 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mary was also the grandmother of the late Paul Rondelli, and sister of the late Marion Oliver, Jeannette Dennis, and Irene Dickerman.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Friday, June 24 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Church, Raynham, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Cedar Knoll Cemetery, E. Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
