New Bedford-Virginia (Costa) Magan died Sunday July 17th at the New Bedford Health Care, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Frank S. Magan. She was the mother of Richard L. Magan and Franklin C. and his wife Patricia Magan both of New Bedford. Beloved Grandmother of Susan M. Magan of Wheaton, IL., William D. Magan of Norwood, MA., Darren J. Magan of Harvard, MA., and Derek A. Magan of Grafton, MA. She was the beloved Great-Grandmother of Ella Rose, Colby Fenway, Alexander, Samantha Grace, and Jack Richard Magan. She was also survived by several nieces, and nephews.
Mrs. Magan was the daughter of the late Antone E. and Virginia (Rego) Costa. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all her life. She was a homemaker. She was a member of The Moose Golden Agers.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday July 20, 2005 at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday July 19, 2005 at the Perry Funeral Home.
