Patrick G. Fitzjarrald, 43, of Anderson died on Friday, June 17, 2016 at his home following a two year courageous battle with cancer.
Patrick was born December 16, 1972 in Marion, the son of Hubert and Reva (Smith) Fitzjarrald.
Patrick married Sarah Akeright on October 14, 2006, in Gas City.
He graduated from Madison-Grant High School in 1991 and from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in music business. He was employed for twenty years as an instrument repair technician with Paige's Music in Indianapolis. For several years, he played bass trombone with numerous ensembles throughout Indiana. He also enjoyed trap shooting, as well as fishing. He owned a fishing lure business called "Ketchumz", and was an avid Cubs fan.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Sarah, of Anderson, his mother, Reva Fitzjarrald of Jonesboro, brother, Michael (Nancy) Fitzjarrald of Muncie, two sisters, Susan (Gary) Haisley of Fairmount, and Lea (Dave) Markum of Franklin, TN; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Duane Akeright of Cedar Falls, IA; brother-in-law, Matthew (Abby) Akeright of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Fitzjarrald.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Friday, June 24, at North Anderson Church of God, 2604 North Scatterfield Road in Anderson with Rev. Tom Malbone officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Banquo, Indiana North of Marion.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. on Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service at 229 South Rangeline Road in Anderson and Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to Five Points Conservation Club Youth Program or St. Vincent's Hospice.
