LACONIA - Lydia C. Larose, 93, of 30 County Drive, died Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Belknap County Nursing Home in Laconia. She was predeceased by her husband, Elie Larose in 1988.
Lydia was a lifetime resident of Laconia and Belmont and attended Sacred Heart School and Laconia High School. She worked at various jobs during World War II and at Astro Ball Bearing for 13 years until she retired in 1986. After retiring, she worked for Contigiani's Catering and part time at Lakes Region General Hospital. Lydia was active in arts and crafts at the Sacred Heart parish since 1987 and was a member of bowling leagues for many years. She was also a member of the Ladies Guild of Sacred Heart.
Lydia is survived by her son, Paul Larose and his wife Cheryl of Gilford, two daughters; Patricia Ballantyne and her husband Robert of Belmont and Pauline Hill and her husband Charles of Belmont, five grandchildren; Michael Larose and his wife Cory of Gilmanton, Tara Larose of Gilford, Joshua Hill of Brookline, Timothy Hill and his wife Jaclyn of Brookline and Andrea Stevens and her husband Matthew of Clinton, NJ. She also leaves six great grandchildren; Matthew Larose of Gilmanton, Olivia and Dahlia Hill of Brookline, Lincoln Hill of Brookline and Madison and Gabriella Stevens of Clinton, NJ., two sisters; Blanche Cherette and Angeline Larose, both of Laconia and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 6Pm to 8Pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at St. Andre Bessette Parish - Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia.
Burial will follow in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia.
