Obituary

L. Paul Chapdelaine, 86, of Scenery Lane, Johnston, died Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of Shirley (Ganem) Chapdelaine. They had been married for 58 years.

Born in St. Gerard, Canada, he was a son of the late Doria and Hattie (Sicard) Chapdelaine. He had lived in Johnston for the past 16 years and had previously lived in Smithfield and Providence. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from the Providence Housing Authority after 27 years and later worked for Stop & Shop in Smithfield for 14 years.

Besides his wife he is survived by his sons: Gary Chapdelaine of Johnston and Dr. Jeffrey Chapdelaine and his wife, Colleen of Bedford, NH. his three grandsons: Luke, Brett and Eric Chapdelaine and his siter Alice Gaumond of Smithfield He was the brother of the late Raymond, and Roland Chapdelaine, Yvonne Lavallee, Rita Parker-Toolin, Theressa Couture and Norma Barrette.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30 am from Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be private. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm.
