FALL RIVER… Aires P. Resendes, 69, of Fall River passed away June 18th at his home, following a brief illness.
Born on St. Michael in the Azores, he was a son of Maria C. (Pacheco) Resendes of Fall River and the late Aires Resendes. He had moved to Fall River 50 years ago.
Mr. Resendes worked as a machine operator at the former Fall River Knitting Mills. Known as a jokester, he enjoyed dancing and partying.
Along with his mother, survivors include his daughter: Zenna Lauzane of Fall River, 3 sisters, 6 brothers, 3 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 7:45 PM at the South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 - 7:45 PM, prior to the service. Cremation will follow.
