Obituary

North Andover - Michelle Yameen Brown passed away on Friday after a long illness. She was born on her grandfather Carmen Paolino’s birthday and was special to him and her grandmother Laura. The daughter of Kenneth and Catherine Yameen of North Andover, she was a devoted mother to her son Christian and daughter Kendra, and a loving wife to her husband Todd.

She grew up among wonderful friends and neighbors on Tower Hill in Lawrence and attended St. Mary’s and North Andover High School. After attending Pine Manor, she graduated from American University.

Before becoming a homemaker, Michelle lived in Fort Lauderdale where she built a successful career and met her co -worker Todd. After months on the phone with Todd , solving logistics for her customers he spotted her photograph on the wall after she had won a national sales recognition. That connection led to 16 years of marriage.

She was happy to return home to raise a family in the Merrimack Valley and summers at the beach where she had spent her childhood in a house with her grandmother , Sitto Rose, aunts, uncles and cousins. Despite the moves, Michelle had many friendships that lasted many years and over many miles.

Her family appreciates all the support and prayers from family friends and caregivers.

She will be greatly missed by her sister, Pamela of Haverhill, sister, Lisa and husband, Peter Ash of Andover, brother, James and wife, Eileen of Quincy, sister, Andrea and husband, Mike Vallace of Wellesley and her niece and nephews, as well as her mother-in-law, Sherry Brown of Baraboo, Wisconsin, sisters-in-law, Darcy and husband, Todd White, Sandy and husband, Mike Gavin, Michelle and husband, George Dent all of Wisconsin and sister-in-law, Pamela and husband, Rick Petosia of California.

Michelle is also survived by her Aunt Joyce and Uncle Joseph Maroun of Methuen , Aunt Elaine Yameen of Methuen, Uncle Thomas Yameen and partner, Kathy Timmons of North Andover and Aunt Mabel Paolino of Groveland and their families.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Michelle's life by gathering for calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 4 – 8 PM. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM at St. Anthony’s Maronite Church in Lawrence, MA. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Winchester Hospital’s Center for Cancer Care, 620 Washington Street, Winchester, MA 01890.
