MacNEIL, Mary R. (Reilly), of Winthrop, formerly of Gloucester, passed away on June 17, 2016. She was 68. She was the beloved wife of Peter J. MacNeil. Devoted mother of Kelli Anne Gaynor and her husband Eric and Christine M. Evans and her husband Christopher all of Winthrop. Adored grandmother of Ellen Mary Gaynor, Mackenzie Sally and Kyle Christopher Evans. Cherished daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Tobin) Reilly. Dear sister of Thomas Reilly and his wife Donna of Winthrop, James Reilly and his wife Marilyn of Weymouth, Anne Toomey and her husband Joseph of Belmont, Michael Reilly and his wife Elizabeth of South Boston, Eileen Reilly and her friend Eddie Downes of Roslindale, Christine Reilly and her husband Glenn, Alice Reilly, Peggy Reidister and her husband Garry, and Ellen Reilly all of Winthrop. Loving aunt to Patty Wells, Tommy and Kate Reilly, Matthew, Joseph, Mary, and Kevin Toomey, Katie Reilly and Eric and Anna Reidister. Best friend of Virginia Wilder. Funeral from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. Winthrop, on Weds, June 22, at 10:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church-Winthrop at 11:30. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow in Winthrop Cemetery (Belle Isle Section). Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Tues. from 3-8pm. Mary was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy in Boston, Class of 66 and was a graduate of Emmanuel College, Class of 70. Prior to her retirement, Mary's occupation was a teacher. She taught at multiple schools including, Pope John XXIII High School in Everett, Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody, Fisher College and North Shore Community College and was an online instructor for the University of Phoenix.
