Obituary

J. B. Stinchcomb, 53, of Tifton passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Terrell Roberts officiating. Mr. Stinchcomb will be laid to rest at Salem Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, June 20, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Alex Couvillon, Mark Allan Strickland, Mason Strickland, Mak Strickland and Chris McCracken will serve as pallbearers.

Born November 7, 1962 in Barrow County, Mr. Stinchcomb was the son of Jane Evans Pendley of Tifton and the late A. J. Stinchcomb. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Sarge Pendley; and a brother, Jerry Stinchcomb. He was the owner of Wishbone Fried Chicken in Tifton and member of Tift Avenue Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Stinchcomb is survived by his wife, Linda Green Stinchcomb of Tifton; three sons, James Stinchcomb of Atlanta and Dewayne Strickland and Mark Strickland, both of Tifton; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Deana Delbridge of Ellenton, Mona and Lonnie Stout of Saint Augustine, Florida and Sherri and Eric Croft of Valdosta; three brothers, Gary Stinchcomb of Winder, Jimmy Stinchcomb of Lawrenceville and Michael Stinchcomb of Bethlehem; three sisters, Carrie Dean Stinchcomb of Winder, Diane Barnes of Bethlehem and Brenda Richardson of Rome; 18 grandchildren, Candace Turner, Hope Nunez, Patrick Delbridge, Stephanie McCracken, Brandon Strickland, Dewayne Strickland Jr., Lonnie Stout III, James Stout, Dale Stout, Colton Stout, Amber Gay, Alex Couvillon, Alli Croft, Cassidy Croft, Mark Allan Strickland, Mak Strickland, Mason Strickland and Micole Strickland; and 22 great-grandchildren.
