Antonietta (Anello) Saporito of Somerville passed away peacefully at her daughter's home after a long illness. She was 65. Born and raised in Riesi, Sicily she was the daughter of the late Tommaso and Giusseppina (Mirasola) Anello. Antonietta moved to Somerville over 45 years ago. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved the company of her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Antonietta's main passion was being able to stay at home and raise her children.
The beloved wife of the late Vincenzo Saporito, she was a devoted mother of Tommaso Saporito of Somerville, Gracie Snaith of Medford, Josephine Mustone of Stoneham and the late Salvatore Saporito. She leaves her loving grandchildren: Matteo, Michela, Enzo and Sonny. She was the sister of Nunzio and Luigi Anello, both of Sicily. Also survived by her nephew Guy Turco.
Antonietta's funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday June 21st at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Saint Ann Church, 399 Medford St. Somerville, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit Monday 5 - 8 PM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
