We have lost another one of our loved ones. She will now join all of our angels!
Doreen E. (Hyde) Langevin, 70, lifelong resident of Acushnet, lost her battle with COPD on June 15, 2016.
She was the wife of the late Sergeant Richard G. Langevin and the daughter of the late Benjamin D. and Sarah E. (Witherington) Hyde.
She was a loving mother to Alana Lee and grandmother to Danny Desmaris and his companion Kendra and Joshua Daigle and his companion Sheena. She adored and loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, Abigail, Jack, Cooper Lee and Jamie who lovingly called her "Nonnie." She is also survived by her longtime companion of Buddy Pimental; a sister-in-law and friend Linette Langevin-Uzzell and her husband Marc; 2 nieces and a nephew. Doreen enjoyed many years of fun and laughs with her special friends, Sharon, Claire, Beverly and Brenda and we can not forget how much she loved her sweet dog "Squish."
She was formerly employed by the Acushnet Company, Shaw's Supermarkets in Dartmouth and Fairhaven in the service desk and as a pharmacy technician until her retirement.
Doreen loved to travel, Aruba was her favorite and Foxwoods was always a fun place to go. She was very witty and funny and always had a nickname for something or someone. Doreen was one of the most generous and loving people you could meet. She will be missed by all who knew her!
She was the sister of the late Benjamin D. Hyde, Jr., daughter-in-law of the late Beatrice and Armand Langevin, sister-in-law of the late Nancy and Kenneth Carreau.
Private arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
