Richard R. Gedrimas of Medford died on Thursday, June 16, at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston. A long-time Medford resident, he was the son of the late Anthony and Frances Gedrimas. Richard proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, then went on to become an Air Traffic Controller at Logan Airport.
Richard was the Beloved husband of the late Barbara Gedrimas, and the devoted father of Cheryl Rath and her husband Sam, Donna Begin and her husband Paul, Laura Collier and her husband Gerald, Lynn Collier and her husband Kelly, all of Medford. He was the loving grandfather of Daniel, Cameron, Christian, Nicholas, Allison, Cassandra, and Thomas.
A prayer service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Sunday, June 19, at 4 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted and interment will be private.
