FALL RIVER – Jesse Bertholde Jr., age 97, of Fall River passed away on his Birthday, Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Juliette (Souza) Bertholde and the son of the late Jacintho & Maria (Tavares) Bertholde. Prior to retiring, Jesse worked for 23 yrs. as a Grocery Clerk for Auclair’s Market in Somerset, and the former Capeto’s Market of Lindsey St. in Fall River. He was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church.
Survivors include his children: Jesse Bertholde III of Tiverton, RI and Bonnie Jaye McClendon of Baltimore, MD; nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Michael Bertholde and the brother of the late Joseph Bertholde and Beatrice Camara.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main ST. Fall River on Tuesday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Monday from 5-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
