OXFORD-Virginia A. (O’Brien) Murphy, 77, formerly of 9 Old Worcester Road died, Friday, July 15th in the St. Francis Home. She leaves her husband of 55 years, Walter M. Murphy, a son; Michael M. Murphy of Auburn, a daughter; Maureen V. Herrion of Greenville, NC, and 5 grandchildren; Caitlin and Ryan Herrion, Sarah, Jenna and Hannah Murphy.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Maurice and Catherine (Brosnihan) O’Brien. Mrs. Murphy had been a long time member of St. Ann’s Church, enjoyed music and was an accomplished pianist.
The funeral is Wednesday, July 20th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 9:00 AM in St. Ann’s Church, 654 Main Street. Burial will be in North Cemetery, Oxford.
