Obituary

J. Maurice Levesque, 85, of Berlin, NH passed away on Tuesday evening June 14, 2016 at his home with his loving wife by his side after a valiant battle with cancer and heart disease. He was born in Canada on October 16, 1930. He came to the United States in 1950 and served in the US Army as a Canadian Citizen. He was self employed as a painting contractor until his retirement in 1995. Maurice was an avid Canadian and Yankees fan. He loved sports and greatly enjoyed playing golf. His main priority was always his family and friends. He spent many long hours playing cards and sharing stories with them.

He is survived by his wife Carol (Blunden) Levesque of 45 years. He has two daughters Kristina Schools and her husband David of Littleon, ME and Jennifer Reardon and husband Edward of Gloucester, MA. He has always had a very special place in his heart for his granddaughter Meagan Noonan and her husband Kyle of Somersworth, NH. He is also survived by some very loving in-laws Bill and Jill Blunden of Gorham, NH and their children Mark and Doug and Steve and Rosalie Blunden of Miami, FL. He leaves a sister Jeanne Barry of Quebec City, P. Q. and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers and one sister.

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday June 27, 2016 at 10 AM at Holy Family Church, Gorham, NH. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham on Sunday June 26 from 6 to 8 PM. Interment will be in the Lary Cemetery in Gorham. Donations may be made in his honor to Northwoods Home Health and Hospice, 278 Main St., Lancaster, NH, 03584 or to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, 1080 Hospital Dr., St. Johnsbury, VT, 05819.
