John Anthony Raynes, Sr., 53, of Simpsonville, husband of Shelly (McCredy) Raynes, died June 8, 2016 in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
Born in Salem, MA, he was the son of the late John Hayes and Eleanor (Deschene) Raynes. John was retired from the United States Air Force.
Celebrating John's Life includes recognizing 20 years of service in the United States Air Force. Throughout his military career, John was steadily honored for outstanding conduct, professionalism and service to his country. His family has had a strong military tradition with both ancestors and descendants serving our country. John was frequently called upon for expert photography assignments. Capturing essential scientific and complex elements behind the lens was one of his innate abilities. Serving his country made him so proud and honored.
John's extraordinary ability to genuinely and selflessly love, care and give, makes it tremendously difficult to realize the loss of what hundreds of people describe as a very best friend.
