Jaime F. Moniz, age 55, passed away on Tuesday June 14, 2016 following a motorcycle accident. Born in São Miguel, Açores he was the son of the late Manuel and Cordelina Moniz, and beloved husband of Hermina (Rego) Moniz. Jaime enjoyed going for walks and spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Diana Moniz (companion David Braga), Monica Moniz (companion Pedro Carreiro), and Alex Moniz, siblings; Idelta Martins, Nelia Barbosa, Leonora Damaso, Emmanuel Moniz, and Maria Roque, grandchildren; Lily Braga, Anabella Carreiro, Emma Braga, and Noah Carreiro and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Monday with extended calling hours from 9-11 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 12:00 P.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
