David T. Rushia, 47
Dateline: Norton, MA
David T. Rushia, age 47, a lifelong resident of Norton, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 14, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Alma L. (Viers) Rushia, to whom he was wed on June 23, 1990.
Born in Attleboro, MA on July 27, 1968, he was a loving son of David W. and Judith A. (Albro) Rushia of Norton.
Dave grew up and was educated in Norton, and was a 1986 graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in Easton. For 30 years, he had been employed as a machinist mechanic at the Hub Folding Box Co. in Mansfield.
Dave loved spending time with his children and the many long walks taken with his best friend “Kenny”. When younger, he along with his family attended St. Mary’s Church in Norton.
Dave was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia. His other interests included listening to classic rock music.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his devoted children Stephen T. Rushia, Shelbi E. Rushia and Jacob D. Rushia all of Norton. He was the dear brother of Patricia A. Rushia of Middleboro. He is also survived by his cherished granddaughter Leah Bravetti of Norton, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Sunday, June 19th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
Service and burial will be held privately at a later date.
