Caroline R. (Ramos) Clattenburg, 90, of Dartmouth died June 14, 2016 at home after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Ernest R. Clattenburg.
Born in Dartmouth, the daughter of the late Custodio and Maria (Bettencourt) Ramos, she lived in Dartmouth all of her life.
Mrs. Clattenburg was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
She was formerly employed as an administrative law judge with the Division of Employment Security for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. Clattenburg was an avid bridge player and a member of the Mattapoisett Bridge Club. She enjoyed reading, travel and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Ann M. Correia of Henderson, NV and Carolyn H. DeSouza of Dartmouth; 3 grandchildren, Lauren Correia of Nevada, Steven Correia of Germany and Kendra Evangelho of Dartmouth; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Peter J. Clattenburg, James E. Clattenburg and Helen Clattenburg and the sister of the late Lidwina Harrington, Albert Ramos, Edward Ramos and Manuel Ramos.
Her Funeral will be held Tuesday, June 21st at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday, June 20th from 4-8 PM.
