Jack A. Engle, 80, of Benton City, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 8, 2016.
He was born in South Cannon, Colorado to George and Flora (Crandall) Engle. He was raised and educated in Leadville, Colorado. Jack lived in several cities and states during his lifetime, including Sunnyside for fifteen years and has resided in Benton City since 2005.
He provided for his family as a farm laborer and versatile truck driver. He retired from ACST Trucking in Prosser. Jack was a concerned, caring and interested father, grandfather, brother and friend to all he came in contact with. He loved traveling and enjoying the scenery along the way and encouraging people in the Lord.
Jack participated as a loyal church member in his service to the Lord and was an active member in Gideon International in his later years.
Jack is survived by his children, Teresa Mc Junkin of Colorado, Kevin Engle and Scott Engle and his wife, Courtney all of Centralia, WA and Julie Engle of Benton City, WA; sixteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecka Hall; two sisters; one brother; and his parents.
Visitation will be held at Prosser Funeral Home on Sunday, June 19th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 20th at the Prosser Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12:00 Noon at Highway Tabernacle, 2715 West 7th Avenue & State Route 395. Luncheon, following service.
