It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and brother Bradford "Brad" Harold Kingsbury.
Born in Sioux City, Iowa March 17, 1941, he came to California in 1957 at the age of 16 when his father was offered a job with the military designing missiles.
Brad and his family settled in Ojai, California and he absolutely loved his new hometown. He attended Nordhoff High School and played football for the Rangers as co-captain, guard and middle line backer. Brad graduated as letterman from Nordhoff High in 1959. His football and career education would continue onto Ventura College. He then joined the Army and National Guard.
Brad's favorite past times were working on his classic cars and Harley Davidson's. He loved sunbathing at the beach, swimming laps in the pool, and especially hanging out with his friends. He was a loyal friend and a great listener. One who would show you complete devotion and would always back you up without question. He never judged anyone.
Brad was employed with Tannenbaum Vending in which he worked for over 30 years.
Brad left this world with so many loved ones behind. He leaves his wife Veronica, his sons Robert of Ventura and Tomas of Las Vegas, step-son Adam of Ventura, step-daughter Alicia and her husband Jake of Ventura, and the most beautiful grandchildren Monroe and Santiago; brother Kirk and his wife Janie from Oak View, sister Pam from Texas and sister-in-law Patsy from Oxnard.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Birdell Kingsbury, son Bradford Scott, brother Thomas, sister Jeanette, second wife Dona and the most amazing great dane Natascha.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours Saturday June 25, 2016 from 11am to 1pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura. A Memorial Service will be held in the Funeral Home's Chapel at 1pm.
