Glenn V. Hill, age 54, of Brockton, died unexpectedly June 11, 2016 at his home. He was the loving husband for 33 years of Patricia M. (Lalley) Hill. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Mary (Perry) Hill. He was employed as a custodian in the Brockton School Department for the past 19 years, currently working at the BB Russell School. Glenn served in the Navy and was stationed on the USS Yellowstone. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed working in his yard and gardening. He was passionate about his motorcycle and older model Cadillac, and had been a lifelong member of the Samoset Rod and Gun Club.
Glenn is also survived by his daughters Christina Hill and her fiancé Richard Lindquist of Whitman, Melissa Hill and her companion Robert Merino and Mary Hill all of Brockton and three granddaughters. He was the brother of Michael Hill and his wife Sandra of GA, Kathleen Hill and her companion Ruth Bracken of Brockton, Maureen Sylvia of Wareham and Debra Cicciu and her husband Neil of GA. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Friday at 8am for a funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 9am. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
