David J. Semenza, Sr. of Medford died on Sunday, June 12, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Boston's North End, he was the son of the late Joseph and Yolanda (Marcarelli) Semenza. David was employed as a laborer for the MBTA and was a proud member of Local 22.
David was the beloved husband of Joanne (Amari) Semenza, and the devoted father of David Semenza Jr. and his wife Shauna of Tewksbury, and Joseph Semenza of Medford. He is also survived by his dear cousins David and Peter Semenza, many many friends, cousins, brothers- and sisters-in-law.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, June 16, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, June 15, from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
