Obituary

Ingeborg (Gunther) Krugley was born on February 23, 1928 in Bad Cannstatt, Germany to her parents, Karoline and Albert Gunther. Surviving World War II in Germany, Inge came to the United States to marry Alexander, an American GI, to begin their wonderful life together. She is survived by her younger brother Arthur Gunther of Germany and his family. She is the sister of the late Kurt and Lore Gunther.

Alexander and Ingeborg made their home in Arlington, MA and raised two wonderful daughters, Linda and Caroline. Inge and Alexander joyfully saw Linda marry David Hoyt and raise two children, Lauren and Andrew. Inge and Alexander then saw their daughter Caroline marry her high school sweetheart, Jeffrey Castaldo, and bring up their four children, Jonathan, Alexandria, Christina and Jason. Inge's grandchildren are the light of her life.

After losing her husband in 2000, Inge sold their family home in Arlington and moved to North Andover, MA to be closer to her family. She spent many wonderful days enjoying her grandchildren. She was overjoyed to attend sporting events, religious sacraments, graduations, a marriage and the birth of her two beautiful great grandsons, Camden Alexander and Bennet Oliver Soucy.

Inge died peacefully at her home on June 11, 2016. Ingeborg loved to spend time cooking exemplary meals for her family as well as creating unforgettable memories. Inge or Omi as she was known to all who loved her, had an incredibly vibrant smile and welcomed the opportunity to share her love with all those around her. She was an incredibly hard worker and had more energy than people half her age. Omi loved to spend time with her great grandchildren and relaxing with the Castaldo's dogs, Maya, Noah and Kobe, on her days off from work at Circle Laundry. Previous to her work at the laundromat, Inge maintained her strong work ethic as the Bakery Manager at Star Market.

Inge was an extraordinary woman and she will be sorely missed by all those who experienced her unconditional love. She will be missed and thought of everyday. A loving Omi, auf wiedersehen.
