Obituary

NATICK: Michael T. Cotto, age 91, of Yarmouth Port, a retired Boston and Cape Cod restaurateur, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2016, after a brief illness.

Born, raised, and educated in Boston, Mike served in the Navy on the USS Marblehead during WWII. He and his wife of 70 years, Louise (Dimitri) Cotto, lived in Natick prior to settling in West Yarmouth in 1962. He retired after 50 years in the restaurant industry, and for the next 18 years enjoyed working with the Town of Yarmouth.

Mike was the son of Theodore and Sophia Cotto, who had immigrated to Boston from Treska, Albania. Mike was predeceased by brothers George, Arthur and Donald Cotto. Besides his wife he is survived by sons, Dana Cotto and his wife Eileen, Dennis Cotto and his wife Karen, Michael Cotto and his wife Kim and daughter Sharon Ellis and her husband Carl; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey, Kate, Mark, Matthew, Paul, Caroline and Alana; two great-grandchildren, Vincent and Jacob; and two brothers, Stephen and Robert and his wife MaryEllen.

His funeral service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Wednesday, June 15th at 12:00PM. Burial with military honors will follow in Dell Park Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, 4 – 7PM.

The family would like to thank the staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Plymouth Geriatric facility for their outstanding care for our father and our family.
