Lorraine M. (Renaud) Allen, age 98, of Norwood, formerly of Brockton and Randolph, with summers on Cape Cod, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, June 9, 2016 at Charlwell House in Norwood. Lorraine was the wife of the late Arthur C. Allen, Jr., and daughter of the late Ralph J. Renaud and Irene M. (White). Born in Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1936, and continued her education at the Goddard Hospital School of Nursing, Brockton. She was a Registered Nurse at the Goddard Hospital for many years, remembered for her compassion and kindness. She continued her nursing career with private duty cases and retired as a Visiting Nurse at the age of 90. Lorraine was a charter member of the Brockton Charities as well as a member of the Randolph Historical Society and Literary Association, the Brockton Garden Club and the Fuller Art Museum. She was also involved with the Line Dancing Club, Point Independence Yacht Club of Buzzards Bay, First Friendly Seniors of Randolph, Minerva Lodge #1846 of Stoughton and was active with the AARP of Brockton.
Lorraine is survived by her sons, A. Clinton Allen, III and his wife Lawson of Needham, Richard J. Allen and his wife Carol, of Bellingham and her daughter, Jane Anne Tougas of Marion, married to the late George C. Tougas. Lorraine could not have been a prouder grandmother of her 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren who brought her pure joy. She is also survived by her brother Richard G. Renaud and his wife Carol of Scituate, their children, and her longtime loving companion William Boyden of Sharon. Lorraine was the sister of the late Ralph R. and Walter F. Renaud.
