Woonsocket – Claire M. ( Robert) Blanchard, 76, 0f Woonsocket died Wednesday June 8, 2016 at Miriam Hospital, Providence.
She was the wife of Gerard N. Blanchard, they were married for over 55 years.
She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late George and Doris (Leveille) Robert.
Claire was a homemaker.
A Woonsocket resident since 1970 coming from Albion, she was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church.
She was active in the St. Agatha Senior Center, Woonsocket Senior Center, and was an avid Bingo player.
Besides her husband she is survived by her two daughters Michelle Parkhurst and her husband Robert of Bellingham, and Nicole Leech and her husband Matthew of New Market Maryland.
Her cousin Jackie Robert of Albion, her brother and sister in law Henry and Monique Sitnik of Woonsocket, I Niece, and 2 nephews. She is also survived by her best friends Nancy, Stacey, Ashley, Zak, Bruce, Greg, and Sue.
Her funeral will be held Monday June 13, 2016 at 9:00am, form the MENARD – LACOUTURE Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Avenue, Woonsocket, burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
