Obituary

Mr. Donald E. Coakley, a lifelong resident of Medford passed away at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford on Wednesday afternoon, June 8, 2016. He was 74 years old.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, on June 4, 1942, he was the beloved son of the late John and Margaret (Clougherty) Coakley. Mr. Coakley was a Janitor for the Lawrence Memorial Hospital for many years. In his spare time, Donald enjoyed watching and routing for the Red Sox. A quite man, he was a devoted brother. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving siblings; William F. and his wife Bernadette Coakley of Medford, Elaine P. Buckland of Medford and John P. and his wife Carole Coakley of Malden and the late Katherine T. Jordan, Margaret Colcord, Robert Curran, Patricia Reavy and Kevin Coakley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Monday, June 13, 2016, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016, from 4 to 7 PM. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
