Franklin------Jason Jacques Roberts 40, lost his battle to Cancer on Monday, June 6, 2016 at his home with his former wife by his side.
Jason was born in Newport, Vermont on May 8, 1976 to Madeleine and Andre Roberts. Jason and his Mom moved to New Hampshire in 1981. Jason grew up in the Lakes Region area. He loved to smile, he loved to laugh, and in his younger years loved to have fun with friends. Jason also had a love for the outdoors and wildlife. He loved nothing more than to be on his four-wheeler with his son and exploring all that nature has to offer. He and Jennifer Roberts welcomed their son, Hunter, into the world in 2002. This was his greatest achievement and it showed. He was a dedicated father and a talented landscape construction worker. He loved building retaining walls, patios, and stone pathways.
Jason was a strong man and had a strong personality. People found him to be a charismatic, likeable person who was always willing to help when needed. Before falling ill in March of this year, Jason was doing something he always dreamed of. He lived off the grid for almost an entire year in a large parcel of land abutting the Merrimack River with his beloved goldendoodle Rodney, who was always by his side. He was in his glory and had many adventures outdoors exploring the woods. Being in nature, enjoying a little fire, and some country music was the core of who Jason was, and of course the love for his family and son.
Jason leaves behind his son, Hunter Roberts, his former wife and best friend, Jennifer Roberts, his loving mother Madeleine Roberts of Franklin, his Aunts; Denise and her husband, Aaron Constant of Concord, Rachel Ducharme of Vermont, Jeanne Ducharme of Tilton, Lorraine Ducharme of Arkansas; his two uncles, Roger and his wife, Donna Ducharme of Illinois, Rene Ducharme of Vermont, many cousins including Hannah and Ashley Constant of Concord, his furry companion, Rodney, as well as many other family members and friends.
There will be no calling hours or burial per Jason’s wishes.
