Harold William “PeeWee” Laster, age 61, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born July 14, 1954 in Marks, MS to the late James Wesley and Mary White Laster. PeeWee served in the United States Army and worked as a sawmill operator for Memphis Hardwood in Bruce, MS for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and spending time with his family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 10, 2016 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Lee Hoop officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Church of God Cemetery in Charleston, MS with Shannon Smith, Marshall Davidson, Jonathan Fisk, George Bardo, Adam Welch, Shawn Laster, and Bobby Fisk serving as pallbearers.
PeeWee is survived by his wife, Cynthia Fisk Laster of Coffeeville, MS; three sisters, Margaret Ann (John) Smith of Memphis, TN, Delores Ann Denley of Grenada, MS, and Penny Pennington of Sarah, MS; his brother, Michael (Reba) Laster of Coffeeville, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Wilkinson and Helen King; and four brothers, James Bubba Laster, Tommy Lee Laster, David Earl Randall, and Claude Edward Hollins.
