Dr. Charles Frederick Shaefer, Jr.
Augusta, GA – Dr. Charles Frederick Shaefer, Jr., age 67, died on June 6, 2016, in Denver, Colorado, where he was a speaker at a medical conference on diabetes.
Dr. Shaefer is survived by his beloved wife, Nan Hall Shaefer, his two sons, Charles Davis Shaefer (Ashley Cole Owens) and Mark McNair Shaefer, his daughter-in-law, Alexis Bashinski Shaefer, grandson, Allan McNair Shaefer, Dr. Shaefer is also survived by his beloved mother, Evelyn McNair Shaefer. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Frederick Shaefer, Sr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, from 5:00 until 7:00 in the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church of Augusta, Walton Way Extension. The memorial service will be Friday, June 10, at 4:00 P.M. at the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church, followed by a Celebration of Life in the Fellowship Hall.
