Joseph P. "Joe" Roche, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 34 years old.
Joe was born in Boston on February 24, 1982, a son of Joseph W. Roche Jr. and Mary (Kenneally) Roche. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated at St. Francis De Sales Parochial School and graduated from Malden Catholic High School in Malden in 2000 where he played varsity hockey and baseball. While growing up in Charlestown, Joe was involved with Charlestown Youth Hockey and Charlestown Little League. Joe was working at Cambridge Honda in Cambridge the last 2 years as a transporter. He was also an avid Boston sports fan.
Joe is the loving son of Joseph W. Roche Jr. and Mary (Kenneally) Roche. He is the devoted brother of Allyson Dacey and her husband Christopher of Everett. He is the loving uncle to Brianna Dacey. He is the beloved grandson of Gertrude (McCormick) Roche and the late Joseph W. Roche and Walter and Louise (McGonagle) Kenneally. He is the beloved nephew of Steven and Maureen Kenneally, Paul and Sheila Kenneally, Michael and Marianne Hudd and Thomas and Cindy Roche. He is the beloved companion of Ashley Vecchione. He is also lovingly survived by many cousins and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joe's Funeral on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. His burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. His visiting hours will be on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
