Mr. David M. Dowler, Sr., a lifelong resident of Medford and beloved husband of Kelly J. (Donahue) Dowler, passed away at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford surrounded by his family on Monday afternoon, June 6, 2016. He was 55 years old.
Born in Winchester, Massachusetts, on October 28, 1960, he was the beloved son of the late Robert P. and Virginia (Shannon) Dowler. Mr. Dowler was a graduate of the Medford Vocational High School, class of 1980. He worked for many years as a Cabinet Maker and also as a Printer for Laser Graphics of Chelsea. In his spare time, Mr. Dowler enjoyed fishing and going to York Beach in Maine. Above all, David was a very devoted husband and father. He will be dearly missed.
Besides his beloved wife, Kelly, he is survived by his loving children; David M. “Dj” Dowler and Amanda A. Dowler, both of Medford, siblings; Maureen and her husband Daniel Maffeo of Illinois, Keith Dowler of Medford, Robert and his wife Ann Dowler of York, Maine, Kenneth and his wife Deborah Dowler of Medford and Pamela and her husband David Machado of Dunstable, brothers-in-law; George and his wife Jeanne Donahue of Newton and Shawn and his wife Vivian Donahue of Medford. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle; Lorraine and Lawrence Wheeler and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at 3 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visitation will be held on Saturday, prior to the service, from noon to 3 PM. Interment will be private.
