Brain V. Chierus of Canton passed away on June 5th, after a long illness. He was 58. Born and raised in Canton he attended Canton Public Schools, Brian was a member of the Canton High School Class of 1975. As a young man Brian worked for Canton Rental, Faded Glory, and the Canton Public Schools before starting his own shipping and airfreight company, Express Services of Boston. After selling the company he went to work with brothers company, Interior Ceiling & Walls as the sales and office manager, until his illness forced him to retire. Brian was the Board of Director and Manager for the Canton Town Club and its Function Hall. A past member and Board of Director at Wampatuck Country Club and a member of the Sons of America Legion Edward J. Beatty Post 24 in Canton. Brian loved playing golf and the lottery. One of his proudest moments was when he won the Wampatuck Galvin Cup. He was a television and movie buff. A real film fanatic knowing who played every character, he was the guy you wanted on your trivia team. He loved traveling with his buddies to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Loving son of the late Peter & Margaret Chierus. Devoted brother of Stephen Kelley & his wife Claire of Plymouth, Donna Garnham & her late husband George of Norton, Peter Chierus & his wife Sharon of N. Attleboro, Jo-Ann Chierus & Jack MacDonald of Taunton and Eileen Magee & her husband Jim of Canton. Also survived by many loving nieces & nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and his lifelong friends Jimmy & Tommy Theodore and Richie and James Tut. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church 700 Washington St. Canton on Saturday morning at 10:30. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery.
