Leo W. Smith, 81, of Anderson died June 5, 2016 at St. Vincent Heart Hospital in Indianapolis after a sudden illness.
He was born, May 2, 1935 in Anderson to Arthur L. and Anne-Mae (Ellingwood) Smith.
He worked production at Guide Lamp for 40 years.
He enjoyed woodworking and working in the yard and his family.
He is survived by his two sons, Leo M. (Jenny) Smith; Arthur (Sherry) Smith; four siblings, Marvin (Judy) Smith; Virgil (Susie) Smith; Richard (Nancy) Smith; Paul (Wanda) Smith; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Smith and Lottie Smith; granddaughter, Andrea.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Geneva Smith, brothers, Robert Smith; Arthur Smith, Jr.; Leon Smith and Herbert Smith; Sisters, Jeanette Moss and Geneva Lamprey.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, June 10 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Dennis Zirkle of Meadowbrook Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Parkinson's Disease Foundation or American Heart Association.
