Frances Williams passed into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Dunmore Health Care Center at the age of 102. She was the widow of Edward Williams since 1966.
Frances was born on May 15, 1914, in Olyphant, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Joseph LaRussa and Clara Napolitan LaRussa. Frances attended Olyphant public schools.
She is survived by a son, Edward J. and wife, Ann, Peckville, Pa.; a daughter, Clara Williams, Olyphant; and a daughter, Shirley Brodoski and husband, Matthew, Olyphant. Also surviving is a sister, Lucy Klem, Olyphant. Frances has six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; three brothers, Leopold, Salvatore and Joseph; two sisters, Mary Liberatore and Jenny Novajoski; and a son-in-law, Delbert Williams.
She was a great mother and a wonderful grandmother. Her life revolved around her family, to whom she gave her time and unconditional love. Frances was very active into her late 80s. She enjoyed dining out and shopping. She was an avid bingo player and also loved doing crafts and decorating. To say she was always "on the go" is an understatement. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Arrangements entrusted to the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., Olyphant. There will be no public calling hours. A private celebration of life will be held.
