Andover, MA – Lee Henderson Retelle (61) of Andover died Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Lawrence General Hospital. Lee was born in Framingham on August 17, 1955, the daughter of Perry and Phyllis Henderson. She graduated from Framingham South High School in 1973 and UMASS Amherst in 1977. In 1982 Lee married Peter G. Retelle and raised three children – Lindsey, Brian and Riki.
Lee began her working career at the Chateau de Ville in Framingham as a computer specialist followed by several years as the bookkeeper and office manager for Retelle Tree Corporation. She was also a matron for the Andover Police Department, where she provided support to incarcerated women, and a tax examiner at the IRS in Andover before retiring in 2006.
Lee had many hobbies and things she enjoyed including watching old TV shows, painting, and crocheting crafts to send to friends and relatives. She was fond of doing puzzles and encouraged visitors to help find a missing piece. She loved music, laughter and animals. She enjoyed watching her children grow up into the fine adults that they are and found great joy in her two grandchildren, Khloe and Hunter. Most recently she had shown a strong interest in politics and was a supporter of Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign.
Lee is pre-deceased by her father, Perry Hunter Henderson, of Framingham, MA, and her granddaughter, Khloe Elizabeth Retelle. She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Henderson of Auburn, ME (formerly of Framingham and Milford, MA,) her husband of 34 years, Peter G. Retelle of Andover, her daughter Lindsey Retelle Hanson and her husband Eric Hanson, her son Brian Perry Retelle, his wife Ayla Retelle (Lebel) and their son, Hunter Richard Retelle, her youngest son, Richard Robert Retelle and his fiance´e Alison Davey, and her sister, Laurie Hunter Henderson of Lewiston, ME. Lee also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and an aunt and uncle.
