Lorraine F. Thomas (Maher) age 83 of Sharon passed away June 6th at the Norwood Hospital. Born and raised in Boston, she attended the High School of Practical Arts. She worked as an RN for many years at Children’s Hospital in Boston retiring as the Night Supervisor in 1984. She grew up in W. Roxbury and has lived in Sharon since 1960. For many years she enjoyed playing bingo at the Knights of Columbus Council 2095 in Canton. Beloved wife of the late James R. Mother of Jody M. Thomas of Sharon and Jan M. Silva of Attleboro. Grandmother of Kristen Caetano and her husband James of Riverside, RI. Great grandmother of Jessica Davis of Sharon. Sister of Charles Maher and his wife Evelyn of Centerville. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Wednesday 6-8 pm. Funeral mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sharon Thursday morning at 10. Burial VA National Cemetery, Bourne Thursday afternoon at 1:15. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Children’s Hospital 300 Longwood Ave Boston, MA 02115.
